    Item title reads - The new Empire Review now presents The Royal Naval Singers, one of the features of the Portsmouth Navy Week. These serving Naval Ratings are keeping alive the traditions of the sailing navy by singing the old time sea shanties. Today they sing "Bound for the Rio Grande" an old favourite.

    M/S of the singers sat on deck, they are dressed in headscarves and neckerchiefs, and are wearing stripy tops. Various shots as they sing "Bound for the Rio Grande", this is interspersed with various shots of an old-fashioned sailing ship on the sea, and men on board.
