    The story of a river. Clouds over the sea. They travel over mountains and then water rains down, descends the hills and becomes a river. Shots of various rivers. Intertitles describe the process in flowery language e.g. "...bounding over the rocks like hot-headed youth..." A stream flows across a road. A man throws pebbles in and another man leads a large shire horse through the stream. A house built on a stone bridge over a river.

    A river with small waterfall. Silver eel gliding over the riverbed. Reed Warbler feeding her babies in a nest. Waterfalls. Wooded area with river. Dabchick on a nest. Great Crested Grebe sits on her eggs. Shot from a moving boat of picturesque river with Willow trees. Coot's nest. Black-necked Grebe defends its nest from a Dabchick. Underwater shots of fish. Fishermen prepare their nets and row out onto the river. The river reaches the sea. Harbour with fishing boats. One boat with single fisherman going out to sea.
