New invention intended to solve traffic problems - a cross between a train and a plane!
"Here she comes...the newest attempt to solve the traffic problem..." C/U of a model of the George Bennie railplane in action.
The strange futuristic looking railplane moves towards the camera inside a metal construction like a cross between a bridge and a tunnel. The model then moves away again. We see the model moving along from a different angle - this shows the shape of the railplane - a kind of cylinder with propellors at each end.
"Speeds of over 120 miles an hour will easily be possible with air-driver rail-plane cars" said Mr Bennie, the Inventor." M/S of George Bennie sitting in front of his model speaking to camera (no sound). C/U of the model. It moves again. C/U of the mechanism which propels it along the track. C/U of the front of the model showing the propellor. "Changing round will be simple..." L/S of the model. It is on a revolving platform which spins around.
