    Item title reads - The Prince's visit to Birmingham through cheering thousands, to the Town Hall, to receive city's address of welcome.

    M/S as Prince Edward, the Prince of Wales, walks down a line of soldiers followed by other military personnel. M/S as he walks along with the mayor and other dignitaries and military figures.

    Intertitle - 'H.R.H. (HRH) at wonderful new power station at Nechells.' People walk through and shake his hand, he pushes a lever attached to a dial.

    Intertitle - 'At corner of Broad Street, he laid foundation stone of the Hall of Memory.' Big crowds cheer as the party walks through, the camera pans across the site and crowd. M/S of the stone being winched into place on a pulley, the Prince knocks the corners with a small hammer and gives a speech to the people.

    Intertitle - 'At Handsworth Park.' The Prince walks up past boy scouts waving his hat, he shakes hands with the leaders. M/S of children waving Union Jacks. Various shots of him meeting various people including veterans and sailors at the Mission for Seamen. Various clergymen are present as the Prince salutes and a foundation stone is lowered.

    Intertitle - 'President of the R.N. Lifeboat Institution.' L/S of him on a balcony with King George V, Queen Mary and Princess Mary.

    Intertitle - 'and receives the Freedom of the City.' The Prince gets in a carriage with two other men and has a blanket put over his knees.
