    This is not Esher.

The first part of the film is filmed at The Fairmile Hotel in Cobham. It still exists and looks exactly the same 60 years later. The film then takes us on a ride down the Portsmouth Road towards Tartar Hill, then left down Anyards road towards The village centre. After that we see them back on the Portsmouth Road, passing the Recreational Ground. Then we see them going back up the Portsmouth Road, driving up Tartar Hill past Tartar Common and then along the long straight that gave the 'Fairmile' area of Cobham its name, returning towards the Fairmile Hotel.

This film is exclusively shot in Cobham and never, at any stage, goes any where near Esher.

I do hope this information is useful to you.

    Kind Regards,

    Graeme Austin
