    House of Commons top shot. Shot of bomb damage nine years previously. Interiors of the House. Galleries, loudspeakers, dispatch boxes etc. Bar is closed by a guard as the House is in Session. Great Hall of Westminster. Speaker of the House of Commons Colonel Clifton Brown leads procession of High Court of Parliament. Official opening of the new Chamber. Speakers of several parliaments of the Commonwealth also process. Winston Churchill. Lord Chancellor. Cleaners prepare the way for the King. Women sweep the red carpet. Trumpets sound for arrival of Royal Family.

    They process: Queen Mary, King George VI, Queen Elizabeth, Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret. The Yeomen (Beefeaters). The National Anthem is played. C/U shots of King and Queen. Lord Chancellor offers humble greetings of the House of Lords. Presents House of Lords "message" to his Majesty. Speaker adds tribute of the House of Commons. King gives his message. The Royal Family process down from the podium.
