• Short Summary

Italian-invented rubber suit and hood for use in an emergency escape from submarines.

  • Description

    Titles read: "The Life Saver".

Location of events unknown - probably Italy.

M/S of a man putting on a bizarre hood with a nose clip and breathing tube, which, along with a kind of rubberised suit, makes up part of a 'lifesaving' outfit for an emergency escape from a submarine. Commentator says it was invented by an Italian. He jumps into a swimming pool and floats about, then sits in a chair on the bottom of the pool. By pressing a button on the belt of the suit, he shoots up to the surface, due to the breathing device connected to an oxygen chamber suspended at the belt.

Out of the water, the man takes off the hood and undoes the top of the rubber suit to show his regular suit underneath is completely dry.
