"Flt Lt Atcherley" is Richard Atcherley.

The race took place over 5-6 July 1929.

    "L/S's of bi-plane taxiing on airfield." - it's a Gloster Grebe.

"L/S of Flight Lieutenant Atcherley climbing out of aeroplane." - also climbing out is navigator Flt Lt George Stainforth.
