    Various shots of King George VI (in military uniform) visiting units in the South Eastern Command. Local schoolgirls give the King a rousing cheer and wave their scarves(?). The King watches soldiers handling large amounts of cookhouse bacon and beef, as if during offensive operations. He then inspects the repair and store depots. The Royal Engineers give a demonstration of transporting a field gun across a river on a pontoon ferry or raft.
