They are of children who lived at her home for evacuated mothers and children. M/S's as she sits down and chats with one of the mothers, Mrs Barton. They have an awkward conversation about how everyone got on and worked in a team.

    M/S of Mrs Priestley in her Piccadilly flat. J. B. Priestley comes in to see how her Russian lessons are getting on. The camera pans across portraits of their own 6 children. M/S as her daughter Angela, who is also learning Russian, comes in to help. Various shots as mother and daughter look at the book.
