Horses approaching jump No 3, leaders over. One jockey falls from his mount. SV. Towards and pan, as horses approach Beechers Brook. Change to slow motion as first horse takes jump. First fall and rest in quick succession. SV. Remote camera, horses jumping Beechers. Roman Fire and E.S.B. struggle to their feet. SV. Pan, approaching No 7, leader over. Moogie stumbles and unseats her jockey. Pan with leaders as they race towards the Canal Turn. GV. Approaching the Canal Turn. SV. The Canal Turn, leader over, pan into back view (a stray horse collides with the second, but they keep going).
LV. Approaching Valentines, leader over. SV. Slow motion, leader over Valentines. SV. Horses racing towards. SV. Horses approaching jump No 11. First horse over. First fall, another, a jockey is thrown heavily, picks himself up, staggers about, and then falls flat on his face. LV. Horses approaching jump No 12. A loose horse nearly upsets the leader, as they take the jump. SV. Pan with leaders, with Sundew in front, No 8 followed by No 28. Steel Lock and another horse. SV. Crowd. LV. The field approaching jump No 15. Open ditch. A loose horse cuts right across the leaders, Sundew looses a lot of ground but still just about keeps in front. GV. Passing No 16, the water jump which has been railed off. SV. Towards and pan, horses starting on the second lap with M'As-Tu-Vu just leading Sundew. Pan with both (Portarlington ran well wide around the bend at start of scene). Pan to back view as they approach jump No 17. LV. Towards, approaching No 17 with M'As-Tu-Vu and Sundew almost neck and neck over jump. LV. Towards, approaching Beechers into slow motion, over jump, no falls. SV. Crowd. SV. Towards, approaching the Canal Turn, over jump, no falls. SV. Towards, approaching Valentines, leader over. SV. Horses racing towards. SV. Approaching jump No 27. Sundew crashes through the fence and throws his jockey, whilst alongside him a horse refuses and throws his jockey through the fence. Sundew's jockey although buffeted by passing horses, sits up. LV. Approaching jump No 28. Leaders over almost together. Rest of field follow, a rider hangs on as his tired horse stumbles. SV. Crowd. LV. Still at jump No 28, a horse falls, jockey and horse on feet again. He remounts and rides off gesticulating. While this is happening another jockey is chasing his horse behind the jump. SV. Pan with the leaders. Carey's Cottage followed by Quare Times and Tudor Line. SV. Horses approaching jump No 30, leader over. SCU. Queen and Queen Mother and other members of Royal party looking at race.
GV. Quare Times leading Tudor Line and Carey's Cottage up the straight. SV. Pan with Quare Times on his own. He passes post, jockey pats his mount as they slow down. SV. Crowd. LV. Quare Times being led in through an enthusiastic crowd. SCU. Pan, Quare Times being led in. SV. Quare Times being led into unsaddling enclosure. Jockey dismounts. SCU.
