M/S horses paraded around enclosure by trainers, and watched by the crowd. M/S as the jockeys are helped into saddle by officials. One jockey gets a leg up. The horses are led towards the start past a huge crowd lining the rails and stands. The runners mill about and line up at the start.

M/S runners leaving start, and a side shot in slow motion of horses jumping. Some fallers at the first fence. Slow motion - great shots of jumps. L/S as horses jump, and crowds nearby watch - more slow motion of horses and riders C/U of some jumps, some fall, some refuse. A number of horses fall at canal turn fence with crowds watching, and people on top of a stationary train on an embankment.

M/S of the King in the stand, watching with binoculars.

M/S of the finish as Sprig passes the winning post. M/S horses coming towards camera past post. Sprig led through the jubilant crowd.
