M/S as the camera pans across the judges who are, Stuart Hibberd of the BBC (British Broadcasting Company / Corporation), Dame Sybil Thorndike, John Masefield, the Poet Laureate, Mrs Atkinson, chosen as the perfect telephone subscriber, and Lord Iliffe, they are all listening to Miss Cain speak through the telephone. Hibberd asks Sybil what she thinks of her voice and she says it's charming with a good sense of rhythm. M/S of Miss Cain reading out the time.

    The name "E W Cain" on the title card may well be incorrect, for practically all sources I can find name the lady as Ethel Jane Cain.

    "Postmaster General Major Tryon" is George Tryon.

    "Mrs Atkinson" is Mrs E D Atkinson.
