A river parade down the River Nile is part of an ancient ritual.
Full title reads: "Cairo. The fete of the Bride of the Nile. Cannon salutes now replace the ceremony of annual sacrifice of a virgin, the ancients practised to assure abundant rain & good crops."
People line the banks of the River Nile. CU Two Egyptian boys in crowd. Shot of ships on the Nile, Riverboats etc. Shots of the Royal barge being escorted down the river by dhows and other traditional sailing boats. A canon is fired from the Royal Barge.
