Fade in to shot of women in a sitting room, wearing the latest dress fashions. One, wearing a day dress with tiered ruffles around the neckline, sits in a chair, flicking through a magazine. Another woman walks into the room wearing a long black and white satin dress - very glam. She sits down and looks at a magazine. Another woman sits at a desk, writing. She gets up to show off her two-tone day dress. Two more models enter, both in day dresses. Several shots of women in wonderful 1930s coats - beautiful styles. In a restaurant or cafe setting, three women in fur trimmed coats sit at a table. Three more models in evening gowns enter and sit at another table. C/U shots of the dresses - one in satin, another in white (crepe?) with ruffles on the skirt. Waiter pours coffee. The third woman wears a gown with small gathers or ruffles around the lowered neck and sleeves. She sips her coffee.

Several shots of women workers having a manicure, sun-lamp treatment, doing physical exercise in formation in a gymnasium (with orchestral accompaniment!). Jumping over box. Girls look out at view over rooftops. L/S of steam train in distance. Cheery workers leaving factory on foot and bicycles. Buses go by, bound for Kettering. Village streets. Men walk into building.
