In normal speed we see the winning horse and jockey, Felstead ridden by H Wragg, riding towards the winner's enclosure, surrounded by policemen and other people. The horse is led around the enclosure, watched by an admiring crowd.

Several shots show crowds of cars and people rushing hither and thither; the ground is covered with bits of paper.
The opening titles are then repeated, followed by a new intertitle: 'The Downs were covered for miles around with an almost unbroken "sea' of motor cars."
