  • Short Summary

Chefs attend a display of food art - fabulous creations made from food.

  • Description

"Every year the great Chefs of London gather together and devise new and more appetising methods of pleasing our tastes - "

M/S of group of men at an exhibition of food art. "Any ham tastes nicer when "dressed" suitably - " C/U of hams which have been decorated with painted scenes of a bird and what looks like a woman dancing. Bizarre! "Lobsters and prawns too!" C/U of a model of Little Bo Peep which is presumably made partly from seafood.

"A novelty - electrically cooks your food on your plate, or acts as a hot plate or radiator!" Chef demonstrates a saucepan which has heating elements inside it. The saucepan is placed on top of a plate of food to heat it. "Art in salt" is next with an ornate building made from salt on display. Two women admire a biplane made from salt. A basket of flowers which is apparently made from fried potatoes is featured. "And the sweetest art of all - sugar models. A basket of fruit made from sugar is seen in C/U. A middle eastern style building is shown. We see it in C/U with one of the people attending pointing out the delicately made figure of a man and little tables.

M/S of a woman looking at a model of Blackpool Tower - possibly made from salt. C/U of the front of the Tower model. Weird.
