  • Short Summary

A money counting device is demonstrated - probably used in banks.

  • Description

"Here's a little gadget we came across the other day...a quick-fire money counter."

C/U of a man tipping coins into a metal container. He shakes the container so that they all fall to the bottom. C/U of the container being drawn across another contraption which separates the coins out so they are easy to count. (Not easy to describe!) The coins are all laid out in rows. The device is then flipped sideways so that the coins fall into channels. They are then scooped up by a combing device.

A pile of coins is picked up and placed into a rack where the pile is wrapped in paper. This is presumably a device used in banks. "The only difficulty is collection sufficient money to keep the machine going. Another angle on the device being demonstrated.

Although paper records state was an item in Pathe Pictorial 554, the intertitles have the Eve's Film Review logo.
