Brief shots of a stable in Italy. Inside we see some swallows nests. An old man looks at eggs in one of the nests and we next see him feeding some swallows in his house. They seem quite tame and come to his hand for food.

The 'Birdman' (as he is referred to) feeds some tiny baby birds in a nest on the wall. Older swallows sit on the man's arm and flutter about. Outside, he feeds them as they sit on a washing line.
