L/S of wheels being lifted through the air by a device inside the factory. M/S of workman measuring the diameter of a wheel. L/S of the tyre being placed in a "unique gas furnace, which heats it equally all round and expands it." M/S of one of the gas furnace burners being attached to the wheel.
L/S of the wheel being lowered down into the tyre "which begins to shrink as soon as the gas burners are extinguished and grips the wheel in a relentless vice like clutch.
