I seem to remember \"A Clockwork Orange\" was filmed here. We used to visit a pub called \"The Bargepole\" which, I was informed at the time, was featured in the film as a milk bar. The whole area seemed to lack character at the time, I suppose it was because it was so new. The film didn\'t help either portraying the place as a future depressing sink hole. I\'ve not been back since, presumably its improved with age. The whole area along that way has been improved with new building. It would be interesting to see it as it is now.
