He addresses the shop stewards representing the tank builders of the Clyde explaining why he is not satisfied with the number of tanks being produced. He says they are a necessity and we must have more for the battlefront and for security of navy. He says the defence of Russia is very important and gets applause. M/S of the stewards listening. Beaverbrook reads out a telegram from Stalin thanking him for sending the tanks which are now on the front line and getting favourable reports. He sits down and gets applause.
