Traditional custom of marking the swans on the River Thames.

M/S of men in punts drifting down narrow bit of river, banners with swans on fly from the punts. M/S of the punts circling two adult swans and their cygnets. The punts traps the swans and force them onto the river bank. C/U of the men standing around the swan family, they daub bits of paint onto the birds. The men appear to be dressed in a special uniform; some wear striped jumpers, others wear blazers with swan insignias on.
