Police and British Soldiers, one in full battle gear; with helmet;etc.-- check passes of civilians. First shot of a policeman and 2 soldiers standing on sidewalk outside fences - they stop pedestrians on their way down street; coming out of their gardens. Little boy stands at right watching. Then; another soldier checks the pass of a man who stands holding his bicycle; a pipe clenched in his teeth; the man's identification papers are in order and he walks on. Then shot of a barricade in street; with tank behind it; soldier riding up street on bicycle. riding around barricade. CU on part of tank HMT Scotch & Soda,
