    Title "Streatham Gets Lit Up!". The foyer. The mayor of Wandsworth and her daughter arrive in evening dress. A presentation of flowers. The guard of honour and the Regal staff greet the Alderman Mrs E K Goodrich. Large crowd at the cinema entrance. CU Jimmy Nash, Cinema Manager. CU the Mayor presses a button. MS men pull the switches on the power. MS The lights on the front of the Cinema come on (for the first time since the black-out began ten years ago in 1934). MS and CU The crowd with their faces illuminated by the lights look up. WS Gathering inside the foyer with guests and Naval cadets. CU Cadet faces.

    The after-party at the Stork Club, Streatham. Guests drinking champagne. Various shots of happy party goers. WS the Regal Cinema with its illuminations. CU the ABC Regal sign.
