    Waterloo Station, London.

    L/S of Mr Wilfred Green aged 50 standing on a roof, he is spraying a substance onto the lower half of a beehive. The Thames and buildings surrounding it are visible in the background. He is surrounded by other parts of a beehive. He places a small round object on the floor.

    C/U of his hand lifting a layer of material from the top of the hive to reveal lots of bees buzzing about on the top of a row of honeycomb cells. He finishes spraying and lifts one of the cells out of the hive, it is covered with bees, he lifts it up to examine it. C/U of the cell covered with bees. The narrator tells us Wilfred is on the roof of Waterloo Station, he works in the Civil Engineers Department and tends the bees in his lunch hour. L/S across London from the roof, the camera pans round to reveal a train running along the tracks.

    C/U of Wilfred's face and C/U of the bees on the honeycomb, he runs his finger over them. L/S of Wilfred carrying the cell over to another hive and placing it in. He places the material back over it and puts the little round object on the top, he smoothes it down and puts another layer on it. Finally he picks up the lid.

    C/U of him fitting the lid to the hive. L/S across London and Waterloo bridge from the roof. A train passes by in the foreground.
