    St. Patrick's Day ceremonies - a combination of military and religion. Many Boy Scouts lined up at outdoor ceremony in square. Blessing & Presentation of a troop flag of the 26th Dublin St Columba's CBSI at Iona Road. Boy Scout (teenager) kneels at altar; priest hands flag to the boy. Also a shot of a church official; then a uniformed man kneeling on step at doorway; priest standing in the open door.

    Various shots of lines of soldiers standing at open-air mass; holding hats in hands; the marching band's instruments laid on ground. Large crowd crammed together at side of street; many boys climbing on lampposts and statues; waiting for parade.

    Soldiers march down street. Man in civilian clothing; on a balcony reviewing troops. Same; talking w/ other men - 3 Army & 3 civilian. Fairview Catholic Boy Scouts presented w/ traditional shamrocks by the Italian Consul; Signor Sirenzi during 'First Vatican Pact Ceremony'. Scout leader than pins Erin's Emblem medals on the Consul and Colonel Fitzmaurice.
