Peter May is photographed with the best man. Cricketers Reverend David Shepherd, Jim Laker, Godfrey Evans and Denis Compton all arrive.

    Four bridesmaids, one of which is the bride's sister Joanna, get out of a car. Photographers snap away. One of the bridesmaids is wearing an eye-patch. The bride walks along, accompanied by her father, Harold Gilligan, another former England cricketer. After the service the newlyweds pose for photographers outside the church.

They pose for photographers. Athlete Roger Bannister and Chris Chataway stand on the steps of the church. Tennis players Christine Truman and Angela Mortimer are also seen.
