  • Description

Full title reads: "Croydon. Speeding up the Mails. Our up-to-date G.P.O. inaugurates first aeroplane 'Royal Mail' service, for Ottawa Conference correspondence."

    Croydon, Greater London.

Mail sacks are tossed out of the back of a van which stands on the airfield next to a Royal Mail aeroplane. The men of the GPO (General Post Office) don't seem to be worried if their is anything fragile in the bags. The mail is then loaded into the plane.
