The date of the race was 19 July 1969.

Rather than being in Oxfordshire, Silverstone straddles the Northamptonshire/Buckinghamshire border.

    "P Courage" is Piers Courage.

"reef to Stewart" should read wreath to Stewart.

The Number 6 car seen is driven by Bruce McLaren. Number 7 Is Jackie Ickx. Number 4 is Jean-Pierre Beltoise.

Great - thank you! Does anyone know if there's a Silverstone in Oxfordshire too?
