    Location of events unknown.

    World War One. Opens w/ GV primitive-looking bridge across river - but must be sturdy; because a group of soldiers - British - march across it pan rt. as they cross bridge.

    Next; a shot of some soldiers standing on end of partial bridge; and letting out ropes attached to another major piece of bridge made of logs tied together (other people on shore; off screen; pull ropes from other side to straighten this big piece). Pan rt. to those guys; now using log to push the support back up.

    Another scene: yard; w/ buildings in BG; 2 soldiers approach; carrying log on their shoulders; they walk toward cam; off on rt. Next; back to the bridge - the men are now laying down planks across it.
