Major-General Sykes and his new bride walk down the red carpeted Church steps and pose for a photograph. A chauffeur driven car pulls up, the bridesmaids and their nannies are seen in the background as the bride and groom get into the car.

    "Major-General Sykes" is Major-General Sir Frederick Sykes.

    The wedding took place on 3 June 1920.

    The location for the wedding is St Columba's Church of Scotland, Pont Street, London.
