  • Short Summary

Various dives are seen in slow motion.

  • Description

"The Swallow dive is usually considered the most graceful of dives..." L/S of a diving platform at an open air pool. The pool looks like it could be a natural lake rather than a man made swimming baths. A man dives into the water. "...but, slowed, it becomes a real motion poem." Slow motion footage of a dive - a group of swimmers sit at the bottom of the board and watch the dive.

"Now, a "Molberg", or reversed somersault dive - as you see it." Another dive is demonstrated. "In slow motion the diver appears to loiter in the air before reaching the water." Slow motion footage of the dive. "The massed dive." 6 or 7 people dive in at the same time from different levels of the diving platform. We see this again in slow motion.
