    Sir Stafford Cripps, Minister of Aircraft Production, meeting some of the men and women ferry pilots of the Air Transport Auxiliary (A.T.A.) at an unknown English airfield. Pan with single Spitfire taking off. Walrus amphibian taking off. Pan with Mosquito just after takeoff. Pan with Halifax just after takeoff.

    Sir Stafford addresses the pilots outside hangar at the airfield. He says: "I know that you here neither seek nor desire publicity, but at the same time it is as well that the people in this country should know and understand the contribution that the A.T.A. has made and is making to our war efforts".
