Harry Leech, (mentioned in my earlier comment), was one of just 5 survivors of the R-101 airship disaster of 1930. He was also awarded the Albert Medal for rescuing another man from the burning wreckage.
He's visible from 00:47 onwards, he's the man with the glasses next to Malcolm Campbell.
