Silverware on loan from Officers' Messes are exhibited at the Royal Academy to raise funds for charity.
M/S in semidarkness of a silver model of The Latham Centrepiece, a moment in the history of the Royal East Kent Regiment (the Buffs); the model is then illuminated. Commentator tells us the pieces seen at this exhibition at the Royal Academy in London are on loan from Officers' Messes, to raise funds for the Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen's Families Association. M/S in semidarkness of a centrepiece from The Royal Scots Greys; the piece is illuminated; it depicts Sgt Ewart Capturing the French Standard from a French Officer in the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. C/Us of this piece. M/S and C/Us of three figures of Regimental Officers from The Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers.
