    View of a packed troopship coming into harbour. Soldiers wave from the ship. They disembark and walk off with heavy packs. Closer shots of soldiers. (Voiceover uses derogatory term 'Wops' to describe the Italian forces they will be fighting). Troops leave harbour on train.

    A South African regiment carries out the ceremony of the retreat in a Beau Geste type desert fort. They have a bagpipe band and the British Union Jack flag is lowered.

    Supply train brings supplies of vehicles and field artillery guns. Soldiers unload the train. The guns are loaded onto lorries which drive off to the front.
