Old Cunarder, the Berengaria, is broken up at Jarvis Works. Breakers yards are providing work for Jarrow's large numbers of unemployed. A crane with a large magnet on lifts the scrap metal into wagons. A steam locomotive moves skips to foundry. Various shots of scrap going into enormous furnaces to make molten metal. The molten iron is poured into castings - scrap has been recycled and will be used in building another ship.
