Selected originals (offcuts, selected scenes, out takes, rushes) for story "Westminster's Day of Majesty (aka Churchill Story)" 54/94.

This is a bundle of various images most of which were seen in the newsreel story. Shots were connected randomly and the impression is quite chaotic. Several shots of Crowds in Westminster Hall waiting for Sir Winston Churchill to arrive are accompanied with heavy drum noise (quite powerful drums). Follow the shots of Sir Winston and Lady Churchill arriving to Westminster Hall in car. A close up shot of impressive birthday cake. Guardsmen in front of Houses of Parliament, crowds (unclear where), 10 Downing street, birthday cake again... Succession of shots of a large 80 candles birthday cake (seen before) and smaller, but very nice, birthday cake with 8 big candles. One of the shots depicts Lady Churchill standing behind the cake with a long match (as if she is about to light candles) and only in this instance one realises how big the cake is. Several shots of the Queen's procession going to Parliament. Natural sound only.
