Sarawak, Borneo. Girls in traditional dress hand food to guests at a ceremony in Malaya. It is the Iban ceremony of Bordarah.
Food is offered to Malcolm Macdonald. Various shots of General Keighley, Malcolm Macdonald and Sir Anthony Abell eating and drinking at the ceremony. Good C/Us of people in native dress with elaborate headdresses. C/U of man in traditional dress, pan down to show ceremonial sword. Various shots of the ceremony - the visiting dignitaries are given cups to drink from.
L/S of marching band with crowds marching. A union jack flag is seen flying from the top of the Governor's official residence. C/Us of women and children watching the ceremony. Malcolm Macdonald stands beside them. Buglers play as the flag is lowered. Various shots of people present at the ceremony - some in traditional dress. The Governor inspects the natives (it says here). L/S of the Governor standing on a dias reading the citation for Awang Anak Rawang. M/Ss of same.
