    After curfew imposed the villages of Ashia, Vatili and Lysi where arms were found and males screened. (Lysi village is featured). Various shots, British troops digging for hidden weapons in a walled courtyard area and checking for mines. Prisoners or villagers appear to be held behind a wooden fence. Shepherd in field, his pass being examined. Various shots of soldiers searching a well. British patrol through a village. Good shot of helicopter, flies directly overhead. Soldier checking workman's Identity Card at road block.

    Brigadier Read in charge, examining rations. Troops relax in hayfield. Signals operators with wiring. Policewomen with reports of females. Road block with armoured car allowed through.

    Note: "Date received on original record reads: 14/08/1958. Sections of the following British regiments were used: Grenadier Guards, East Surreys, Royal Artillery, Royal Scots Fusiliers and Royal West Kent under the Command of Brigadier Read.
