    Various shots of Collier "Student Prince" aground off the coast, she is left there to break up. Nothing can be done for her as the gale blows the sea over her. The coast guards of Fire Island stand in huddle on wind swept beach looking out at the stranded ship.

    Various shots of a rail crash with twisted metal of the coaches. It is the Pittsburgh-Cleveland train and it has crashed into the Ohio River. Some coaches are submerged in a river after they rolled down a bank. Rescuers are on the spot and remarkably there are only five people killed.
