    Various shots of children suffering from Infantile Paralysis in the Austin Hospital. Nurses help children who have lost the use of their arms to paint by holding a paintbrush between their toes. A little girl lies on a bed and feeds herself from a bowl by using her toes to hold a spoon.

    Children are put into iron lungs. M/S of a line of children in the contraptions. We see the workings of the respirators. A nurse turns the pages of a comic so that a boy can read the funnies while in an iron lung.

    A small boy called Arthur Cogdale walks along slowly, holding onto some parallel bars. He is learning to walk again and will soon leave the hospital cured.

    Note: it is not clear
    whether location of story is Victoria in America or Australia. Paperwork states USA, but elsewhere states original story comes from Strelitz, the Australian film company.

    A visitor wrote in to the archive stating that this is Heidleberg, Victoria in Australia - a suburb of Melbourne
