    This is from LA TOSCA, which was a one-reeler starring Bernhardt in one of her most famous roles; although this clip begins with Baron Scarpia lying dead on the floor with candles on either side of him (the last moment of the act, after Tosca has left), it then jumps to the beginning of the scene, with Bernhardt's entrance. Why she is acting with her back to the camera 90% of the time is odd, but there has to be more of this scene extant.
