Comedy sketch with the comedian Sandy Powell and Frank Lorden.
Full titles read: "SANDY POWELL - assisted by Frank Lorden in the Singing Lesson."
L/S of Frank Lorden sitting at a piano singing. Sandy Powell interrupts as he enter through curtains. Powell informs Lorden that he requires singing lessons. Lorden asks Powell what sort of voice he's got, to which he replies a "Bass voice - but I think it's gone flat with standing."
After several more jokes, they finally attempt to sing together (a song called Poor Old Jo). Unfortunately Powell's voice is way out of key. When they finish Lorden informs him that ".. you must sing by yourself", to which Powell replies "Yes you're spoiling me you know !"
Lorden then attempts (with great difficulty) to take the confused Powell through the musical scales. Powell finishes the sketch by singing a song called `The Lost Sheep on the Mountain'. Lorden plays the piano as Powell makes a series of bleating sounds, much to the horror and disgust of Lorden.
