• Short Summary

British warships escort a convoy of troop ships across dangerous waters.

  • Description

Titles read: "SAFE CONDUCT FOR A TROOP CONVOY".

    Location of events unknown.

Various shots show British warships (probably Formidable and Malaya) escorting a convoy of troop ships across 2000 miles of dangerous waters. 15 inch guns are fired from a ship. A Catalina aircraft takes off from a carrier and soars overhead, then lands back on the deck. More shots of the convoy on very rough seas.

A swordfish seaplane is catapulted from a ship as the convoy nears its destination; it goes on ahead to the harbour with urgent dispatches.

Several shots of HMS Duke of York, Britain's newest Capital Ship, at sea. The ship fires her guns.
