Interesting footage of the Russo-Finish war - would make more sense with more information.
Unused / unissued material - location unclear or unknown.
Various shots of the Finish countryside heavily covered in snow. Several shots of the abandoned carts and a bombed building. Several shots of the Finish soldiers gathered around crushed Russian plane, cottages in background. Road with line of abandoned cars and carts. Line of carts. Several shots of the dead bodies lying around in snow - some with hands up.
A hospital, nurse attends to a wounded man. Cut to several shots of the abandoned tanks and other military vehicles with corpses lying around - probably Russian. A few men are seen inspecting the vehicles. Troops marching - they are unarmed - might be prisoners, probably Russians. Men sitting in a small room, some are wounded. Prisoners lined up in front of barracks. They start marching. Several C/U shots of the men's faces.
Two high ranking army officers - probably Soviets - looking to papers spread in front of them, discussing something. Cut to abandoned convoy: tanks, armoured cars, arms abandoned on the snow, radio and other equipment, all probably Russian.
Troops marching. A German plane with swastika on ready to take off. Finish ski troops on the road. High ranking officer, probably Finish, talking. Civilians talking to the officer. Road sign reads "Salmijarvi". Pan across the countryside showing burning houses everywhere. Several shots of the houses on fire, smoke everywhere.
Various shots of the refugees with suitcases: men, women, children, dogs, elderly, at the station. Various shots of the badly bombed big Finish city, possibly Helsinki. Back to several shots of the refugees. Cut to succession of shots of the bombed city. Several shots of the funerals, shots of the bombed church and other buildings.
Note: It looks that the initial defeat of the Russian troops on the ground lead to heavy bombing campaign of the Finish cities, which eventually won the war.
