    L/S of the team captains shaking hands with each other and the referee on the centre circle. They then toss a coin to decide kick-off. Various shots of the game underway on a very muddy playing surface.

    This is not Swinton, South Yorkshire, it is Swinton, Manchester. This was the first test match to be played at the Station Road ground (opened 2nd March 1929). The official attendance was 34,709.
