WS. Pan across crowds. WS. The Players emerging from the tunnel onto the pitch. LS. Huddersfield Players in hooped shirts lined up and shaking hands with Mr Luthwaite? LS. Castleford players in white shirts with shaking hands before the match. LS. Captains shaking hands before the match.

WS. Castleford kick off. LS. Huddersfield player on the attack he is eventually brought down in sigh of the posts. WS. High angle as Castleford have possession near the Huddersfield Line. WS. The Huddersfield No. 5 with the ball he is brought down and Castleford regain the ball and kick the ball clear. LS. Scrum Huddersfield win the ball the man is brought down play restarts and again there is an immediate tackle.

(Half time Castleford lead 5-3). LS. Huddersfield on the attack. LS. Scrum, Huddersfield win the ball but as they pass down the line each player is faced with ferocious Castleford tackling WS. High Angle Huddersfield defending their line. WS. High Angle the ball is kicked down field a Castleford player chases and kicks it upfield where a Huddersfield player retrieves it. LS. Scrum the ball comes out to Castleford and is passed immediately on but the ball goes loose and is picked up by a Huddersfield player. WS. High Angle the ball is passed along the line of Huddersfield backs who are chased down by Castleford players. WS. Crowd. LS. The ball is won by Huddersfield near their own line.

LS. Scrum beneath the Huddersfield posts Huddersfield win the ball and run it until tackled into touch. WS. High angle Huddersfield successfully kick between the posts. WS. Crowd. WS. Castleford score by kicking between the posts. LS. Castleford have the ball and are tackled near the Huddersfield posts. (Castleford are the surprise winners 11-8) WS. Crowd. WS. Scrum Huddersfield have the ball and pass it along the line until it is fumbled. WS. Castleford attacking close to the Huddersfield line they lose the ball to Huddersfield and almost immediately regain it and continue to attack.

WS. As the players go up to the Royal box. MS. The Castleford captain Atkinson receiving the cup. WS&LS. The Castleford team make their way back down the steps carrying the cup WS. Crowds cheering. LS. Atkinson carrying the cup and being carried on the shoulders of team mates.
