L/S of the royal barge Nalikwanda carrying Queen Mother and Mwanawina, it is propelled by sixty oarsmen. Various shots as they row the barge up the Zambezi river. L/S Queen Mother onboard. Various shots as it arrives at quay and the Queen Mother is helped off. M/S as she walks away with Mwanawina.

    Northern Rhodesia is now Zambia, not Zimbabwe as stated above.
    The Paramount Chief is the only African leader to have been given the honour of wearing a British Admirals uniform to wear.
    As a sign of respect Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother is the only woman to have been allowed on the Nalikwanda. This news clip records this fact.
